The declassing of the Giant.

AC Milan's captain Leonardo Bonucci consoling Gianluigi
Donnarumma as fans draw huge banner insulting the goalkeeper.
With practically no surprise, AC Milan faced another thumping loss to newly promoted team Hellas Verona who are sitting in the relegation zone. The humiliating 3-0 loss continued to throw salt in the wounds of players, coaches, staff and above all the fans. Fans have shown that they are quite frankly fed up of the team's performances and results and they pretend that results will be coming their team's way as soon as possible. Problems also seem to have been arising internally in the team's structure. The club's quite new owner and President who took over the team last April, is looking for other major stakeholders to again takeover the team. This shows negative signs regarding next summer's transfer market as AC Milan will be financially very limited and as we all know, being financially limited in today's market wins you no trophies.

Not only this, UEFA has declined AC Milan's voluntary agreement which is an agreement between the two sides regarding the Financial Fair Play inserted in by legendary Michel Platini. the agreement has been declined since UEFA's request regarding the paying of debts by AC Milan was rejected by the Milanese team. This means that AC Milan can be controlled by UEFA and can be stopped from making any negotiations in the next transfer windows. Managing director of AC Milan Marco Fassone stated that:

UEFA made impossible requests that at the time we cannot accept. The current situation of our team is a very delicate one however, AC Milan remains united because where there is unity, there is strength.

To make things even worse the 18-year old Italian prodigy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has sparked yet another controversy as reports that he will leave the club in January have re-emerged. The fans have taken their message to the stadium and in a banner stated quite clearly that they are fed up of his actions and want him to leave as soon as possible. The goalkeeper who was was reduced to tears by his own fans, swept away any rumours as he pledged his commitment towards the team.

AC Milan now sit in 8th place in the league table, 18 points behind leaders Napoli who have only lost one game compared to AC Milan's 7. The 'Rossoneri' will be looking to turn things around in next weekend's fixture against joint points team Atalanta. Another loss for the 'Diavolo' will continue to show the mediocrity of the team and that the AC Milan people knew in the early 2000s and even before is a piece of history AC Milan fans will be aching for for many more years to come.
